耶穌！永遠生命之源！
Jesus, Author of our breath!
耶穌！我氣息之始！
Victor o’er the hosts infernal,
你已勝過陰府黑暗，
By defeat, and shame, and death,
藉著忍辱與受死。
Thou thro’ deepest tribulation
你曾歷經患難、艱苦，
Deigned to pass for our salvation:
屈尊為我成功救贖：
Thousand, thousand praises be,
千千萬萬的讚美，
Lord of glory, unto Thee!
榮耀救主，惟你配！

Thou, O Son of God! wert bearing
神的兒子，你曾忍受
Cruel mockings, hatred, scorn;
譏誚、妒恨與苦害！
Thou, the King of glory, wearing,
榮耀的王，為我愆尤，
For our sake, the crown of thorn:
荊棘冠冕你竟戴；
Dying, Thou didst us deliver
受死為要將我救援，
From the chains of sin for ever;
使我脫離罪的鎖鍊：
Thousand, thousand praises be,
千千萬萬的讚美，
Precious Savior, unto Thee!
榮耀救主，惟你配！

All the shame men heaped upon
人所給你一切羞辱，
The Thou didst patiently endure;
你全無聲的忍受；
Not the pains of death too bitter,
甚至忍受死的痛苦，
Our redemption to procure;
為使救贖得成就。
Wondrous Thy humiliation
你的降卑令人驚奇，
To accomplish our salvation:
竟肯來到受死之地：
Thousand, thousand praises be,
千千萬萬的讚美，
Precious Savior, unto Thee!
寶貴救主，惟你配！

Heart-felt praise and adoration,
因著你曾降卑塵埃，
Savior, thus to Thee we give:
因著你死使我生；
For Thy life’s humiliation,
心中讚美、靈裏敬拜，
For Thy death, whereby we live;
救主，全都向你呈。
All the grief Thou wert enduring,
所有憂患你已擔當，
All the bliss Thou wert securing,
所有祝福我今得享：
Evermore the theme shall be,
這要成為我詩題，
Of thanksgivings, Lord, to Thee.
永遠讚美你不已。
