Rise, my soul, thy God directs thee;
我魂，興起！你神領路，
Stranger hands no more impede;
誰也不能再攔阻；
Pass thou on, His strength protects thee,
只管前行，祂在保護，
Strength that has the captive freed.
加力獲釋的囚虜。

Is the wilderness before thee,
是否曠野就在你前，
Desert lands where drought abides?
到處沙漠乾燥地？
Heavenly springs shall there restore thee,
但那天來新鮮甘泉，
Fresh from God’s exhaustless tides.
不斷湧出滋潤你。

Light divine surrounds thy going,
神聖亮光繞你腳步，
God Himself shall mark thy way;
神在指定你路徑；
Secret blessings, richly flowing,
隱密之福，豐滿、充足，
Lead to everlasting day.
使你靈魂常蘇醒。

God, thine everlasting portion,
活神是你永遠福分，
Feeds thee with the Mighty’s meat;
大能食物賜給你；
Saved from Egypt’s hard extortion,
使你不受埃及擾困，
Egypt’s food no more to eat.
埃及糧食可撇棄。

Art thou weaned from Egypt’s pleasures?
你若斷絕埃及福樂，
God in secret shall thee keep;
神就藏你於隱密，
There unfold His hidden treasures,
打開寶藏讓你來得，
There His love’s exhaustless deep.
永浸浸沉神愛裡。

In the desert God will teach thee
在這嚝野神要教你，
What the God that thou hast found—
認識祂是怎樣神：
Patient, gracious, powerful, holy;
忍耐、恩慈、神聖、有力；
All His grace shall there abound.
祂的恩典何高深。

On to Canaan’s rest still wending,
迦南路上仍當力前，
E’en thy wants and woes shall bring
雖有缺乏和仇敵，
Suited grace from high descending;
但祂賜下夠用恩典，
Thou shalt taste of mercy’s spring.
憐憫之泉常湧溢。

Though thy way be long and dreary,
路徑雖長並且荒涼，
Eagle strength He’ll still renew;
神會加力如鷹騰；
Garments fresh, and feet unweary,
衣裳仍新，腳未受傷，
Tell how God hath brought thee through.
見證一路神引領。

When to Canaan’s long-loved dwelling
神聖大愛領你腳步，
Love divine thy feet shall bring,
進入迦南那美地，
Thou, with shouts of triumph swelling,
要與眾聖凱歌歡呼，
Zion’s songs in rest shall sing.
在那錫安永安息。
