Life out of death—dear Master, is it Spoken
由死而生⸺恩主，這乃是說明，
Of the life here, or in the better land?
生命在此，或是在於來世？
Nay, wherefore wait? The vessel marred and broken,
不必等候！毀壞破碎的器皿，
Shall now be moulded by the Potter’s hand.
即今可在陶人手中陶制。

Life out of death—oh, wondrous resurrection!
由死而生⸺何等奇妙的復活！
Seed sown in conscious weakness, raised in power;
種時明感軟弱，起時強壯；
Thy life lived out in days of toil and friction,
你的生命顯於勞碌和折磨；
”Not I, but Christ” in me from hour to hour.
時刻非我，乃是基督我王。

Life out of death—a pilgrim path and lonely,
由死而生⸺客旅道路何孤單，
Trodden by those who glory in the Cross.
認識十架者卻都願同行，
They live in fellowship with Jesus only,
效法祂死，他們與祂同苦難，
And for His sake count earthly gain but loss.
因祂，就將萬事當作有損。

由死而生⸺何等有福的使命！
從天上的清澈、純淨江河，
帶著活泉，生命洋溢又豐盛，
告訴渴人，從茲無需再渴。
