In God’s image we were made;
神照祂形像造人，
Made for Him to fill,
好讓祂充滿；
Thus Himself to duplicate, and
人就成祂模成品，
Duplicate He will!
這是祂心願！
In God’s image, yes, indeed—
是的，人有神樣式，
Matching ev’ry trait.
形像也相稱，
All His inner life and being
神的生命和所是，
He will duplicate!
祂都要模成！

Adam’s life was like a cone
亞當生命如樹果，
To contain the Tree;
含樹的本質；
Man was made to take in God—
人受造將神得著－
What capacity!
何等的價值！
God’s container, yes, indeed!
人確是神的容器，
Thus He did design
祂如此設計，
All the human virtues to be
神人美德真一律，
Filled with the divine.
人與神合一

Lost, the image, through man’s fall;
但人墮落，形像毀；
Lost, the life to fill.
容器成空虛。
But—recovered!—Christ is all:
基督救贖來挽回：
God will do it still.
神旨不廢去。
Christ our Savior—God and Man—
救主耶穌神而人－
Is God’s image tree:
神形像何真：
Human virtues, life divine
神、人性質集一身，
Dwell in me and you.
來住你我身。

As we spend more time with Him,
人若常住祂裡面，
He will spread in us;
祂就會加添；
Virtues filled with life within:
生命美德漸充滿，
Image glorious!
透過人顯現！
We will match Him—yes, indeed;
那時，人有神樣式，
Match His every trait!
形像也相稱，
All His inner life and being
神的生命和所是，
He will duplicate!
祂都已模成。
