On Christ, salvation rests secure;
救恩穩固在於基督；
The Rock of Ages must endure;
永久磐石堅定可靠；
Nor can that faith be overthrown
信心安在“活石”之上，
Which rests upon the Living Stone.
就不至於失敗、跌倒。

No other hope shall intervene;
除祂之外，別無盼望；
To Him we look, on Him we lean;
向祂仰望，將祂倚賴；
Other foundations we disown,
建造在這“活石”之上，
And build on Christ, the Living Stone.
別無根基可以取代。

In Him it is ordained to raise
神已命定在祂裏面
A temple to Jehovah’s praise,
建造聖殿，好得榮耀；
Composed of all His saints, who own
活石所救一切信徒，
No Savior but the Living Stone.
是這殿的建造材料。

View the vast building, see it rise:
看這建造何等偉大：
The work how great! the plan how wise!
工程何鉅！設計何智！
O wondrous fabric! pow’r unknown:
奇妙結構，莫測大能，
That rests it on the Living Stone.
全都安置於那“活石”。

But most adore His precious name:
最可稱頌，祂的尊名：
His glory and His grace proclaim!
說出祂的榮耀、恩典！
For us, the lost, condemned, undone,
失喪、定罪，不堪如我，
He gave Himself, the Living Stone.
竟得蒙這“活石”眷念！
