The Holy Spirit is the seal,
神的聖靈乃是印記，
The foretaste, earnest, and the pledge.
就是豫嘗、憑質、擔保；
He designates us as God’s own
指定我們屬神自己，
And guarantees our heritage.
保證基業給我得到。

’Twas after we believed in Christ,
只要我們相信基督，
The word of truth, the gospel, heard,
聽見福音真理的話，
The Holy Spirit us did seal
聖靈便將我們標出，
To show that we belong to God.
指明我們今後屬祂。

This Spirit as the living seal,
聖靈乃是活的印記，
To us God’s image now imparts;
分賜我們神的形像，
Conforming us unto the Son,
將它刻在我們心裏，
He stamps His image in our hearts.
就得模成愛子模樣。

This Spirit also is the pledge,
聖靈又是一個憑質，
Our earnest and our foretaste true.
做為我們擔保、豫嘗。
He witnesses that we are sons,
見證我們是神眾子，
With God’s inheritance in view.
神的基業我們得享。

’Tis by this Spirit God does spread
藉著這靈，神將自己，
Into our mind, emotion, will;
擴展到我心思、情、意；
By sealing every inward part,
裏面各部，受此印記，
He will our very being fill.
祂就充滿全人內裏。

Oh Lord, we would cooperate
哦主，我們願意和你
With all Thy Spirit’s inward move;
靈的運行配合、工作；
That we become Thy masterpiece,
為著達成永遠旨意，
Th’eternal purpose thus to prove.
好使我們成你傑作。
