因乾渴快要死，神就發命令：

擊打勿再施，因早已裂開；

聖靈早已賜，早與你同在；
Take what He waiteth, Freely to bestow,
一切的豐富，等著你接受；
Drink till its fullness All Thy being know.
你若肯信服，必享祂所有。

Blessed Rock of Ages, Thou art open still;
那永久的磐石，今仍是裂開，
Blessed Holy Spirit, All our being fill;
神聖靈的恩賜，要充溢你懷；
Still Thou dost say, Wherefore struggle so?
祂仍在說，掙扎果為何？
Call for the Spirit, Whisper soft and low,
只向靈求索，立解你乾渴；
Speak to the Rock Bid the waters flow.
只要吩咐，就湧流成河。

Oh, for trust more simple, Fully to believe;
但願心肯簡單，完全的相信！
Oh, for hearts more childlike, Freely to receive;
但願心能平安，不再苦求尋！
E’en as a babe, On its mother’s breast,
如同嬰孩，靜臥主懷間，
